Based in New York, Eric Fornell serves as the vice chairman of investment banking and capital markets at Wells Fargo Securities. Previously the vice chairman of JP Morgan Securities, Eric Fornell is on the board of the North Shore Land Alliance in Long Island.
North Shore Land Alliance recently completed the acquisition of a 28-acre parcel in the Village of Matinecock. The land will be used for conservation. The acquisition was made possible through a donation by Verena and Roderick Cushman.
Situated between Duck Pond Road and Piping Rock Road and slated to be named Cushman Woods, the property will provide a safe haven for foxes, birds, and other wildlife species. It is heavily wooded and supports numerous native plants. It also features a trail network that was at one time a popular hunting route.
In the early 20th century, the property was owned by Paul Cravath, a renowned New York lawyer.
The Land Alliance is set to begin work on restoring the nature trails and recreating the parcel as a preserve for birding, walking, and nature exploration.
